Ruth is a storyteller based in Sydney who has published several storytelling books including Down Amongst the Gum Leaves – Australian Stories to Tell and Make and Christmas Cutouts – Stories to Tell, Draw, Fold and Make. She once worked as a children’s librarian but now writes and tours full time. Ruth uses fun and exciting story props and techniques such as magic, feltboards, puppets, drawing, participation, cutting and folding.

Ruth’s storytelling sessions are suitable for preschool, infants and primary groups. She occasionally works with small groups of secondary students interested in drama and writing. She also presents several different storytelling workshops for teachers, librarians, students, child carers and parents, with participants receiving story templates and handouts. Ruth has been accredited with the NSW Department of Teacher Education.
